The Westway Shopping Centre

Visit our vibrant shopping centre

The Westway Shopping Centre opened its doors in 1973 with a memorable ceremony officiated by the legendary characters The Wombles – an event that still brings smiles to the faces of local residents.

The site holds a special place in the heart of Frome’s community, having been built on the grounds of the historic Gaumont Theatre, which opened in 1939 before transitioning to a cinema in 1967. Today, the independent Westway Cinema continues this legacy, bringing the magic of film to Frome.

Our mix of high street favourites and much-loved local retailers creates a welcoming atmosphere, and with a café and restaurant on site, we are the perfect place to meet friends, grab a bite, and enjoy all that Frome has to offer.
